Learn the basics of rock guitar playing while focusing on the songs, riffs and licks of your choice.

Intermediate - Advanced Rock Guitar

Build on existing skills to move towards your musical goals. Lesson topics include: chords, rhythm, scales/modes, arpeggios, soloing, improvising, fretboard visualization, ear-training, picking and dexterity exercises, TAB/notation reading, guitar set-up, and gear advice.

Learn the songs, riffs, and solos that you choose.

Students interested in writing their own original music can choose to include compositional topics such as: chord progressions, song structure, melody writing, diatonic harmony, arranging, solo construction and home recording.

Modern Rock Guitar Techniques

Discover the techniques and phrasing that make your favorite guitarists' style unique. Expand your musical ideas through rock techniques such as; alternate picking, sweep picking, legato, tapping, pinch harmonics, vibrato and palm muting. Learn to effectively integrate these into your lead and rhythm playing.

Sessions can be directed at song writing arrangement and recording by individual students or bands..
